Oh So Soon!

Thumbnails of new concept ideas!

Film is officially done!! It's been an amazing four years. Even though for at two of the four I REALLY didn't want to go to school. It's kind of nostalgic already now, just walking through the halls one last time. The smell of sweaty hallways, metal lockers, old paper, and uh, the sticky cintiq screens... brings me back to when I first entered these doors and thrown literally into a world of art. My first year self would have thought that it wasn't possible for me to create concepts and even think of a story for my own film let alone direct and produce one all by myself. (The same person who in grade 8 thought animations were literally made by computer coding- doh.)

If anything, I have learned that what ever you thought was impossible, it MUST be possible. There must be a WAY to do something. In terms of art anyways. haha -try to throw me some science!

I also learned to really like animating after all, I wanted to draw anime in high school so it would make sense right? Except now, I also really enjoy concept art too! And 3D! So it's slightly conflicting that way, I guess I would consider myself a generalist, I wanna do it all! Just to create is my pleasure. Including the pinterest DIY stuff haha.

I was asked for advice a few times by prospective first years. And so I said:

"I've found the program to only be as good as how dedicated to art you are. It's not the kind of program you go into thinking the teachers are going to give you the talent. They give you some basics, and how far you decide to take your projects is up to you. I found that although I learned from the teacher's a fair amount, I learned FAR MORE from my peers who are also passionately involved in art making."

Thank you so much to everyone that has helped me, encouraged me, and all that teary-eyed nostalgic-ness!  I will miss these carefree years, it was TOO quick! I feel like I blinked my eyes and then it was fourth year. Albeit that the last time I had my eyes open I was a lot less ache-y and tired! haha definitely feeling older!

Now I face the world beyond school!! I'm excited and nervous at the same time! WOOHOOOO QwQ

...And don't forget to eat your fruits and veggies!
